If none of these ni99as come to my art and say nice things. It's been 5 years and I'm so tired.
Before I was an artist I was a devout follower of Butcha-U. Everybody that creates is on an equal level? Should I give equal treatment? Or will this make me a terrible person?

On twitter that's for random non-artists, not other artists. If you interact with people and act like a normal person there then you get penalized by the algo because it only wants to reward people who act like brands.

What happen to me is: i like and comment on art whose people are in the same level as mine and do similar stuff, but they seem to ignore me and coment and like on art that is already advanced

If you're drawings are appealing you will gain a following without having to pretend to care about other people's drawings. Unfortunately, it has been years and you still haven't figured out that you need to change something about your art, if you want more followers.

I'm at 70k and I only follow a handful of people and never left a comment.
People really only care about your art.

Sure, but that doesn't explain why there's people like pirate nation. They don't even draw and have more followers than all of us combined.
Joined a few years back. And screenshots popular threads from 4chan. Ultimately making a profit from our shit posts and free discussions.

Don't know what your trying to achieve, by pointing this out. Some people have lots of followers while putting in only a fraction of the effort, that many here do, shocker.

Effort alone doesn't mean shit. If you want people to follow you, you need to find out what they want to see.

Well, what if everyone said that? Should no one interact with your work, because you don't interact with theirs?
I don't even upload anything anywhere, but I follow and interact with loads of artists because, and this may shock you, I like their work.
Why are you treating this as a purely transactional thing? Yes if you interact with others, they're more likely to check you out, but it was never a certainty, so just interact with work you wish to, and stop being so fake and needy.

I hate this about some artists on twitter. You leave a nice comment or compliment, no reply. Some of their cabal buttbudies respond and they reply back. Really rude and I unfollowed some artists because of that.

i dont know about them but personally i get really nervous whenever someone praises my art and usually just leave a like on the comment to just let them know i saw it. but having been on the japanese side of Twitter for awhile, the artists reply to everything so im going to try to be as charitable as them to see if others follow my example

Just, like:
>use your (twitter? bluesky? etc) account like it's a place to dump your art
>do not expect people to care about it
>if you see good art, like it
>if someone draws good AND doesn't use their social media for political/off-topic shit (basically your usual signal to noise ratio), follow them
>keep dumping your art that you yourself feel you did good at in that account
Keep it up (and maybe git gud in the process) and you'll gather followers and views

This. Why is the fuck do you think you are intitled to attention just because you interacted with someone?
>>7593432
I hope you realize artists don't have all day to reply to comments (I post my shit and get the fuck off social media, I don't have time for retards like you). And if you actually had friends you'd understand why friends get top priority.

like and repost if you like the art. follow if you like the creator. You are not obligated to do any of these things. I have followed over 1000 artists and only a handful of them even consistently acknowledge me when I post anything at all. I opened commissions but am still waiting for anyone to actually be interested in comming me

There's billions of people online.
We could fix that for you if we knew how.

Think about the 200 million idiots following Elong Musk,

If we got 1 dollar for every person we'd be golden pony boy.

because the algorithm favors accounts that actually interact with others

Good advice for bsky.
But absoltuely awful advice for twitter. If you act like a normal user there you won't get boosted by the algorithm. That is why you are floating in low-follower hell - you should only be following a MAXIMUM of 1 account per 10 followers you have. Less is better.

>>7594009
Replying to people who reply to your art is worth 150x as much as a like in the algorithm.

>Everybody that creates is on an equal level?
Of course not. Your creations have less value than those of a more skilled artist, and more value than those of a less skilled artist.
Are you retarded?

Are you retarded? This artwork as more value and it's from a less skilled artist.

People pay money for this.

using social media is not drawing, which is ironic because social media usage is how people get popular. Its like how companies that make cigarettes are managed by people who don't smoke, because they know how stupid it is.

Bots, he definitely has lots of followers, but probably only about 1/4 are actual people.

But also he is to gamers(derogatory) what big tiddy anime slop is to gooners.

>>7589360 (OP)
Honestly though, fuck networking on twitter. Just do it on Discord or some shit like a normal person. Twitter is just where you shout into the void, no one actually meaningfully interacts on there.

Great. Just know I don't have time for people like you either. I'll unfollow or block, assume you're a rude or generally bad person and leave it at that. Generally, if someone leaves you a nice or thoughtful reply, it's good to at least give it a like. Don't just ignore people who like your work.
