How can I tell if I actually like drawing?
>Just draw
I am, but my dilemma is that I don't enjoy the process very much, but I do get a sense of pride and accomplishment when finishing a drawing. Part of the reason for not enjoying the process is because I feel like I suck at it, but from what I've heard, that feeling of being shit never goes away, no matter what skill level you are. Do I just push through and see, or just accept this hobby isn't for me?

I'm the opposite. I love sketching and hate everything that comes after it.

Keep going. I tend to lose momentum halfway through a drawing after I realise I have no fucking idea what I'm doing. Not that I can even stick to a routine.

If you don't draw like you need to breath air then you're a third rate artist with a fourth rate pencil.

same lmao. the time spent increases exponentially once i hit the inking/coloring/rendering stages, in that time i could just dish out several more passable sketches instead

You need to be telepathic. Except use that telepathy on yourself and read your own mind

You need a translator to read that? You're a 4th rate secondary with an 8th rate opinion.

What kind of process are you using?

Do I just push through and see, or just accept this hobby isn't for me?
There are lots of ways to create art. try 'em all.

The feeling of being shit may never go away but you may come to terms with it. 9/10 I feel a lot better after drawing even if its sometimes really frustrating. Especially since my enjoyment of video games etc. Is fading as I get older its nice to have a fullfilling hobby even if doesnt give me a huge immediate kick. You could also try other creative hobbies if drawing itself isnt your thing. Pottery is fun for example.
