>>7615014 (OP)Listen, I know for some this is an actual mental hurdle that is hard to get people to wrap their head around so I'll make a genuine post.
First off I wouldnt purchase any courses, just pirate Proko.
Second, forget Proko, just pirate Karl Gnass's course on figure drawing, the basics of the human figure are laid bare and he explains it in plain English the most out of the other teachers(even Villppu even though hes better technically).
Third, as for your picture, the way Ive come to see it is that both left and right are the same(except for the needless rendering on the right you dont need to bother with that). Both have a basic skeleton underneath, both follow a certain set of proportions, both require understanding of gesture/action, etc etc. The only difference between one and the other is that left is an artistic interpretation(which can vary jumping from one artist to the next), and on the right is depicting what a human actually looks like(drawing wasnt always just about muh art, it did serve a practical purpose). You can jump into anime cause you honestly are gonna be dealing with the exact same problems as drawing something like the right image, the only difference is that learning right is easier cause you have dozens of books and images and knowledge to pull from so its easier to gauge progress, while on the left its harder cause that image isnt all what anime is(plus anatomically I dont think Yui's right leg would be that fucking far spread out,it should be concealed by the loli's thighs). Its easier to deviate from real life then it is just studying one flavor of anime.
That shouldnt discourage you from learning anime, cartooning a a whole is very worthwhile to learn, and most recent teachers of "the anime style" are better then their predecessors(especially since some come straight from the source https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2AZysLEUCmw )
>pywA request I did if you wanna gauge my word for it
