>>7616571 (OP)>they fixed the hands in mid 2023Eh, it's more consistent, but I wouldn't say they fixed the issue.
>image gen stayed pretty much perfect but stagnant to this day. That's been my argument from the beginning. I don't think it's getting better, but it's branching out, to things like video and such. Hopefully they'll make some actually interesting tools with it, and not just more bullshit.
>I can still tell AI image from something someone drew, not photos most of the time, but drawings I can. That's true. Funnily enough, it seems to have gotten even worse with drawings ever since that whole ghibli meme thing. Everything now has either an awkward semi ghibli-esque look it it, or that stiff stockart/webcomic look to it.
I'm sure it can make cool images, but you don't see it often.
>So how dead is art actually?Well, art will be fine even if the commercial/business side dies, however I've heard multiple times that AI hasn't actually made a discernible impact on any area of the workforce (arts included) - there are outliers where dipshit employers fired everyone over the AI hype, but average businesses haven't seen the reason to do that.
However, we then hear many doom and gloom statistics about how destroyed the job market is because of AI, so... which is it?
Personally I don't think it's made much impact, and if it's going to, it's a slow cook.
