What are some good jobs to take up that have a good work/art balance?
I can't take working retail and warehouses anymore

You mean jobs you can slack off and draw at?
Graveyard shift security guard, especially if you're at a desk. Government jobs, especially on an infrastructure maintenance level. Maintenance in general. Hotel reception but that's seasonal cancer usually.
Blue collar jobs are also a good option because the day goes fucking fast and only tires you out physically, not mentally, so you're in a good state to draw when you get home.

I unironically downsized my job and lifestyle.
I worked at some office for 13 an hour and could barely afford my studio apartment which went up to 1.4k, this isn't even a nice neighborhood. It's some dingy area surrounded by Haitians.
I pretty much had enough and downgraded to part time (25 hours a week) while renting a room for 700 a month with utilities paid. I just don't care anymore

I'll look into those, thanks
I worked at Walmart a while back, the labor was honestly the best part. Mainly folded clothes and stocked for 15 an hour
The worst part was having to speak to all the fucking customers

I work Security. I get paid at least a couple of hours a day to draw. Draw some when I'm home. Only downside is a manpower shortage right now so I'm getting some OT but that is a hour or two where I get paid to draw some more.

Pure labour isn't too bad. Blue collar jobs usually let you do the old contractor special, where you've got one earpiece in blasting music while you work, so you sort of just chill out and let the day pass by.

The dream, what you really want, is unsupervised desk/callout while on retainer job - but pure labour is an alright condolence prize.
Customer service is no good, tires you out mentally, emotionally, zero dignity and a "you got time to lean you got time to clean" mentality so zero downtime, leave that shit for teens with no choice. You're just going to come home angry every day and in no mood to draw. Same reason you don't want office space jobs, your coworkers are going to get under your skin and leave you mentally exhausted.

Seems like an upgrade anon, hope you're using your new time well.

I bring my art to work and advertise my patreon hentai with business cards. Nobody talks to me now.
I guilt trip people if they don't follow or subscribe "why should I listen to you" mentality "you aren't subscribed to my patreon" "you don't follow me on Instagram" ect.

What degree is needed and how did you get the job? Through applying online or internship?

Having to deal with Haitian and Indian customers is genuinely making me miss American blacks.
Speaking of which, I think nearly all black Americans have been priced of my neighborhood, being replaced by Haitians getting paid 2k a fucking month.

>degree
i dont have one. i started working in this branche 10 years ago, dropped out of college (was studying for ethical hacking at the time) to get my first job as a security engineer (basically installing firewalls, which was a pain). after doing that for a year i switch jobs to data analyst which is where the magic happens.
if you want to get specific certifications, i would recommend getting some microsoft ones (specifically Azure is big right now) or other cloud stuff, they will be super handy. networking and security certs is also good. if you can find a traineeship to get a lot of certs, then that'd be best.
>how i got the job
applying, i was working on a freelance basis before i got this job, but it was tiring me out because i actually had to work (otherwise no pay). decided its better to work for a boss, researched some companies, tried to find a green/woke company with good pension policies, the working from home was a bonus at that point but very welcome.
always do your research in a company before applying. i must add i live in europe not 'merica.
