2025 /ic/ is obsessed with coomer art, mostly for reasons of making easy money, so it's the same as it was back in 2013, but at least back then the grifting concept art course peddlers would tell you to look a real paintings, so people at least knew some good painter.

RIP to a great master, the guy worked long and hard and was also a big name in his local art-community. He left two good books and a number of videos behind, so at least we get to follow some of his process.
