I'm 100% sure I would've become a AI-techjeet if it weren't for art. Drawing gave me a soul

Same. Even if I could no longer make art, I'd still be a massive appreciator of it.
Other people's art, from the visual to literature, are one of the great pleasures of life.
Being able to take part in that is an honour in itself, even if it'll never really be acknowledged.

I hated it for a long time, even though I kept doing it. I only started enjoying it again recently

It did embarrassingly enough. I don't know what I'd be doing without it.

I have BPD and last year a decade long relationship fell apart, and with it my life (again). This year, the Holy Spirit brought both faith and art into my life. I'm back in the workforce, savings up and will likely be put forth for candidacy to seminary. I am now following a calling from God.

Wouldnt go that far but it helps. My job is completly uninteresting to me and relationships nonexistant so its nice to have a productive hobby I can put a bit of passion into.

I feel... empowered when I do my art, I think it helps that my mom and sister supports my artistic endeavors no matter how weird that art can be at times, it's like the only time I get to be myself...

Here's a panel of a comic I made after I had a really bad mental breakdown a few weeks before Christmas 2024 I think. I was in a library to calm myself down to draw this, I remember my sister saying it was her favorite drawing out of the ones I done that year, it was a really rough time for me.

Thank you for sharing. I'm a bit of a minimalist myself, but I find images like yours fun to look over, as they're rich in detail and in each detail lies an idea.

As much as I loathe it, as much as it hurts me, there is no other craft I want it to be.

It's the only thing I'm decent at so in a way I guess, but then again putting all your worth into something like this is mentally draining

Unironically, yes. Itโ€™s really the only thing that keeps me going every day. When suicide crosses my mind, I remember all the art that I havenโ€™t made yet.

Mental disorder can, for many people, be transient. If someone has never had any issues, but suddenly finds themselves in a bad spot, I hope they remember there's a better way.

>>7627411
I find a sincere irony in the art you haven't made being what helps. It's non-existence reminding you that you have a future.
