Why haven't you made it in the industry?

I prefer having teeth rather than working in an environment that would cause me to projectile vomit daily.

Honestly this is really nice stuff. Communicative, soulful, and tells a story. Thatโ€™s really all theyโ€™re looking for in the industry, you donโ€™t need to be a pro or anything

To add on, I wouldnโ€™t even categorize this as โ€œproโ€ or anything. I think that this is the type of art that simple does what itโ€™s supposed to do, if that makes any sense. Like you could easily make a scene out of these few loose sketches

Let me just quickly look this movie up and...
>"Elio" has grossed approximately $72 million worldwide against a production budget of $150 million, marking it as one of Pixar's biggest box office flops.
...Oh. Who's coping, exactly?

Good signs, the institutions and megacorps are struggling and realizing people en masse are distrusting the subhumans who "make it" as journos.

Molina has been working for Pixar since 2007 if I remember right. He boarded for ts3 previously and co directed Coco.

I find it somewhat amusing that he needed to draw little circles to help draw the feet.

Well, it's clear that pictures here >>7626487 were drawn by a pro. The expressive gesture, facial expressions, very simple yet instantly recognisable design and all that in just few scribbly lines. This what pro tier doodle look like. On the other hand OP's pictures are stiff, unexpressive and just boring. They actually look like what a child would draw. Except for the one on the bottom right. That one also was obviously made by some pro. It's night and day.

The crazy thing is he CAN draw and he's not exactly a newbie, from wikipedia
>Molina joined Pixar in 2007. He started as a 2D animator on Ratatouille. He later moved on to be a storyboard artist, working on Toy Story 3 and Monsters University.[1] Molina also illustrated the Little Golden Book for Toy Story 3.[2] After writing for The Good Dinosaur, Molina started his first assignment as a screenwriter, for Coco, and later went on to co-direct the film.

Idk but probably not enough, they essentially rewrote a good chunk of the original including adding new characters and adding a different antagonist. It's intended release was sometime spring-summer 2024.
