Is it practical to draw on paper at your desk while referencing an image on a computer screen? I've noticed many people either print out the images or use a tablet instead.

We used to have musicians play music for us and have whores pose for us, while we draw and paint them. Now we use our smartphone or screens to look at flat images, how far will artists fall?

I listen to music on my headphones and do some 'study sessions' with porn, and I don't have to doll out a single shilling - the future is a marvelous thing!

Yes its practical
>Advantage vs printout:
Big screen big, full fucking color, you leave it on anyway. Printers are an investment. Extra steps.
>Disadvantage vs printout:
Swapping between staring at a light-emitting panel vs a light-reflecting object can be weird if you're doing anything with important color or values
Stuck at desk
limitations on having many many refs at once without fiddling with your mouse

>Advantages vs tablet:
BIG SCREEN BIG, STABLE LOCATION, INFINITE POWER
>Disadvantages vs tablet
Stuck at location, tablets may (admittedly) have better colors without you having to research the right screen, manipulating an image in simple ways (rotation/etc) using mobile tools can be easier than fucking with your art program or image viewer to do so. Touch controls may be easier to mess with for zoom and pan on a larger ref sheet during drawing.
