Can somebody explain exactly how you'd go about studying Vilppu? I've been recommended his resources and I don't quite follow. Do I want to try to really internalize what he's writing, or just copy his drawings like Bridgman?

That's how I have been doing since I started following Vilppu this past 3 months, my drawing and confidence has definitely improved.

He mentions exercises to try on every page of the drawing manual. Have you tried reading it. The gist is do copies, draw from observation, then sketch from imagination.

If you are on the spherical form chapter try drawing a bird or something.
