Why is Photoshop full of these annoyances? It drives me mad when I try to use it.

It's a company full of programmers and bean counters, and there probably isn't a single artist, graphic designer, photographer, or just plain ol' visual guy, in the team anymore.

Works fine for me. If you can solve the captcha, surely you can learn how to use a keyboard shortcut. Just google your problem if you get stuck.

>be me
>make mistake
>ctrl+z once to undo it
>photoshop decides by itself I'm now working on a layer I haven't touched in 3 hours
>proceed to waste 20+ minutes drawing on the wrong layer
Not to mention that for some fucking reason it uses more processing power than a cryptominer.

you should really make a set of hotkeys , you can save presets. this helped my photo shopping efficiency a lot.

I already know the hotkeys, the problem is that Photoshop will occasionally ignore it or do something completely different when I press it

alt+w opens the window menu
You are just using it wrong.
I never ever experienced problems with keyboard shortcuts in PS.
You are the problem.

there might be a hotkey that's W plus something and its waiting for the second input, that sometimes leads to that laggy feeling.

Yeah, but googling things when you get stuck will only incrementally increase your knowledge of the program, and you could be missing out on some neat tricks. If only there were something that documented everything the program had to offer...

Why are you such a resource hog, PS? I tinker around in the settings and even have a pretty good computer and every once in a while the program won't respond and I go into task manager and for some reason you're hogging all the memory and cpu. The hell you doing?
