i'm not a woman or someone with a large enough socials following that can advertise a booth directly, and i'm not spending $1k+ for a weekend booth at a local con just to gamble

not even being sexist - female-led booths, regardless of their existing reputation, get more attention, period. anyone that frequents cons knows this.
i know it's decent income though, assuming the organizers aren't idiots and allow no-name AI "artists" to get booths. seen it twice now already in the last 2 years.

If you are just walking around the convention center you should be fine but there is maybe a risk of being groped, especially if you are a cosplayer. Room parties and bars are where you'd likely be raped.

i really hate patreon as a concept because it introduced the very jewy "product as a service" practice into the art community. commissions and paywalled HD downloads are a way to go if you're an honest person.
