I’ve might misunderstood this 80/20 rules or Pareto principle but in art
80% of time for drawing you do it fun
The rest 20% is for studies like boxes.

I am a very studios but I don’t know what to do with the 80%. Like I keep grinding myself into Drawabox studies but when it comes to drawing for fun well I’m lost. I don’t know where to start.
I would like to draw characters/ mannequins.
How do cope with this sentiment of overwhelming studying with Drawabox, books and videos that you can’t focus on the fun of drawing.

the 80/20 rule is not for separating fun and not fun, its for prioritizing what will give you the best ROI
the split between study and play should be 50/50

draw what you like during play, i would recommend starting with bugs, rocks and plants

>I would like to draw characters/ mannequins.
Then draw that. The first step towards making it in art, is letting go of the fear of failure. "Oh but if I draw my favorite character/use this really good idea while I'm still this shit, it's gonna turn out bad and be demoralizing!" stop thinking like that. Just do it, you KNOW it's gonna be shit so what are you afraid of? Do it, have fun, you might even surprise yourself if it turns out not half bad. Then go practice some more, and try again to draw something you like.

the 80/20 rule is founded on nothing but personal beliefs

that's not the pareto principle, retard
the pareto principle says 80% of results are caused by 20% of causes, not that any random thing is split 1:4
ie 80% of the image being finished by 20% of the process is the pareto principle, as is saying 20% of your work accounts for 80% of your popularity
tea being 20% leaves and 80% water isn't the pareto principle
in your example, the principle would be 80% of your improvement coming from 20% of the 20% of your drawing that is your practice
