i think im getting the hang of drawing drapery/defining folds with lines but i cant grasp how to properly shade fabric; any advice on how to practice this appreciated

is that your drawing? it's an unconventional way to draw fabric. but it works. I draw fabric weirdly too. unless you want to draw it realistically then there's no right way to do it.

yea but it was just a quick ms paint warmup w/o thinking much js purely expressive almost so it’s v wonky; im not too worried abt drawing fabric its more so when trying to painting/shade fabric im rly struggling to properly define the forms w values
