A lot of people do coom art and things like the doro in secret, because boomers told them to only keep an industry-friendly portfolio and there is a lot of social pressure to only post "normal" things.

What often happens is they either stop having fun with the "wow dark souls i guess" shit or they realize that they don't have to hide the shit they ACTUALLY want to be drawing

Some do think that its an easy way into popularity and money but the 2 anime pieces have more soul than the kind of bland fantasy stuff.

The doro in particular is quite cozy. The brazil girl is a void drawing but he composed it will enough with the viewer as "part of it" and the intense shading, that the white background just feels like bright sunlight.
