Sales in the fine arts world are collapsing and galleries and auction houses are cancelling events left and right. I've seen that local galleried are also reporting low sales. What does /ic/ think is happening?

Though a part of me is hoping that this means that rich idiots finally got some taste and realised the 'art' they were buying is rubbish.
