Not only that shit is random as fuck, it's like a gacha mobile game, the majority of commissioners would rather pay $5 to some random DA beglet than learn to prompt, inpaint, Photoshop,loras/controlnets/extensions/nodes buy credits, sub or buy an expensive PC to run Stable Diffusion locally with garbage results.
I'm convinced that you niggas never used AI art in your entire life, that shit is ass, and it's laughable that artists are afraid of it or think it's competition when that shit is a glorified remixer.

As someone who takes coomission, the impression I get from most of my clients, is that they just really think art is cool. They're impressed by artists, in the same way someone might be impressed by a football player. Like "wow, you can do that?!"

I haven't had the AI discussion with any of them. So I can't really know what they're thinking. But to hazard a guess, I would think that they simply aren't impressed by AI. At least, not in the same fashion that they're impressed by artists. Because the artist is actually performing a human feat. While the AI is just doing calculations. It's not quite the same.

There are a number of activities where robotics are better, but we still watch humans perform. Like sharp shooting. Any robot can hit a target with perfect precision. But it's still impressive to watch a human pull off that feat.
