As long as you are humble and respectful, of course you can! Just make sure to be open-minded when it comes to using AI, either for image generation or as fodder for the algorithm.

I think the title and OP copy could be a bit less inflammatory, and this is possibly a troll thread, but I like the idea. Still I'm not certain it's directly for /ic/ given that /3/ and /gd/ are also split off from here.

Anyway I sometimes use a LLM by punching in paragraphs of context and information, and using it to help blend things into new ideas, find information that I wasn't otherwise able to like specific art supply manufacturers or buried interviews with certain artists about their processes, or generate scripts, HTML or LaTeX code for my website or printable pdfs to make forms and such.

As far as AI-art tools DIRECTLY go, I will sometimes use it when I have a character idea in mind but want to figure out some ways to depict things like costuming and such. I can then punch a bunch of stuff in, turn the quality way way down so its blobby and distorted but also generates quick, and run a few. Helps to figure out ways to depict colors or shapes. I also use this method for helping to brainstorm overall value/color masses.

Given the lack of copyright I will also take interestingly-composed AI art others generate and then mangle it in GIMP to force it down into values, and then use that as a base-level sketch/reference with a lightbox. Then drawing a first draft sketch over it and removing the thing. Not tracing it (it's far too mangled and blurry by this point) but just using it as the old masters would have had their apprentices do the base work before their real painting on top.
