Like I said, they're authoritarian cucks, but they're currently completely losing their position and the public is getting pissed. If this is an attempt to stop people from communicating and rioting, then they're still going to lose the elections because this will be just ANOTHER thing the public will hammer them for at the polls.
If they're not 100% authoritarian cucks, they will at least feign listening to the people, then they'll either repeal this right away in an attempt to garner some good will before elections, or they'll make an election promise to repeal it when they win (and will likely still lose and be booted out of parliament).
Either way, a large and popular petition will have an effect on them, even if they ignore it, and this will be repealed sooner rather than later.
Though all this is just some non-bonger talking bullshit about what he knows is going on in ol' blighty, perhaps an actual brit should share his two cents?
