I spent several years trying to learn Japanese before realizing it's fucking impossible and a massive waste of time. Don't make the same mistake I did. Learn an actually useful language like Spanish or Mandarin.

If it isn't in English it will surely be available in Spanish.

Mandarin will never be useful either, people need to stop repeating this stupid meme. The Chinese are well aware that the language of business is English, so if they ever want to hire internationally they'll use English. If they want their employees to speak Mandarin it means they don't want wypipo there in the first place since almost none of them would fit in their work culture. If you already speak English the most useful foreign language would probably be German

Of course, if you're just learning a language for fun or you want to travel then Mandarin and Spanish are hella good options. But then again Japan is still a huge country so it's not like Japanese is a lot less useful
