Some memories from 10 years ago just came back to me, so I thought I'd write them down here.
I was a high school girl in Tokyo back then. At the time, it was trendy to wear our skirts super short.
Nowadays, girls wear longer skirts and shorter socks—funny how things change.
They say when the economy gets worse, skirt lengths get longer. Is that true?
Anyway, feel free to ask me anything if you're curious :)
Homeroom started at 9AM, but before that, I almost always stopped by the convenience store near the station to buy a 500ml Lipton milk tea in a paper carton.
For some reason, those Lipton teas were super popular back then.
Maybe because they were cheap—Lipton in a carton was about 100 yen, while bottled drinks cost around 130 yen.
>>211653176What other foods were popular among JKs back then?
When I go to Japan I am surprised at how cheap the tea in packs is, At 7-11 I can confirm they still only sell 1 liter for almost 1 USD
I usually met up with my friends at the nearest station and we’d walk about 5 minutes to school together.
If I overslept (which I honestly did a lot), they’d just go on ahead without me lol.
In Japan, kids don’t usually get dropped off at school—not even in elementary or junior high.
We walk or take the train on our own.
My commute to high school took about an hour total:
15 minutes walking to the station, 40 minutes on the train, and 5 minutes walking to school.
I personally never experienced groping on the train.
People often say that quiet or shy-looking girls are more likely to be targeted,
while flashy girls or gyaru types tend to be left alone.
It’s usually weak, timid old men who do that kind of thing.

>>211653397Is that a rural area where there's only JR
>>211653340Maybe it was just around me, but a lot of girls were into buying foreign snacks at a store called KALDI, which sells imported goods.
HARIBO gummies were especially popular—everyone seemed to be eating them all the time.
>>211653597I used a private railway line to commute to school, not JR.
I'm not exactly sure what counts as "rural," but I lived in an area that was less than 30 minutes by train from Shinjuku.
So it wasn’t the countryside at all—just outside central Tokyo.
Tell us how you lost your virginity
>>211653796Do you rub your cock against those innocent schoolgirls?
After school, we often went to a family restaurant called Saizeriya.
It was super cheap and had a drink bar, so we’d just hang out and talk for like 3 or 4 hours before heading home.
Their most famous menu item is called “Milano-style doria,”
but honestly, I have no idea what part of it is supposed to be “Milano” lol.
It’s basically rice topped with white sauce, tomato sauce, and cheese, then baked in the oven.
>>211652929 (OP)Timestamp with tits or GTFO!
And they better not be tranny tits like the ones from that pale skinned ogre
Do you still talk to your high school friends?
I was in the light music club (basically a band club) back then.
It was right after the anime *K-On!* became super popular,
so we had a weird mix of actual music lovers and anime otaku—it was kind of chaotic lol.
But don’t worry, we didn’t have a culture of locking nerds in lockers or anything like that,
so we all got along okay.
That said, the otaku members eventually all quit...
I guess they weren’t really into actually practicing instruments.
Our club had a little practice room, but we were told to keep the windows closed even in the middle of summer because of the noise.
There was an air conditioner, but it barely worked, so it felt like a sauna.
Meanwhile, the brass band club got to throw open all their windows, and some of them even practiced outside.
They got special treatment because they competed in official music contests.
>>211654314I don’t really keep in touch with the friends I was close to back in high school,
even though some of them still live nearby.
But my high school had a huge number of students,
and there were people I barely knew—just recognized their names—
who I ended up reconnecting with in university.
We became friends later, and now we still go on trips together sometimes.
>>211652929 (OP)Shut the fuck up Private Gomez and report yourself to the duty NCO for being on your phone.
Lunch was usually either a homemade bento, bread from the school store, or something from the cafeteria.
The bread from the store was insanely good—there was this one with whipped cream and strawberries inside a soft bun, and everyone loved it.
But the store didn’t really have a line system;
an old lady just handed stuff out to whoever she could hear first,
so it was always a chaotic free-for-all.
As soon as class ended, we’d sprint straight to the store to try and get it before it sold out.
My favorite thing from the cafeteria was this rice bowl topped with seasoned veggies and an egg—it was kind of like bibimbap.
At our school, we could eat lunch wherever we wanted,
so sometimes I ate in the club room or on benches outside,
but on bento days I usually stayed in the classroom.
>>211654787I've see all of this in anime already. Next you'll say Nippon has 4 seasons. Tell me something new that very few people know
Let me talk a bit about school events.
Right after entering high school, we had this kind of “bonding trip” that was meant to help us get to know each other.
We did group activities and stuff, and it was supposed to make us closer.
But honestly, the groups were assigned by the teachers, and of course we didn’t stay close for the next three years just because of that.
Usually, those early “friends” only stuck together during the awkward first few weeks.
Eventually, you’d naturally find your real group through daily life,
and those are the people you’d hang out with until graduation.
>>211654934Honestly, what feels super normal to me might already be super niche to others lol.
It’s hard to tell from the inside.
But if you give me a theme or prompt, I’ll try to write something more unexpected.
>>211655203Is the caste system real in japan high school?
>>211655203>promptthanks chatgpt,
tell me about college life since there's very few anime about it
Yes, yes—Japan has four seasons lol.
Autumn is the season for sports festivals.
Like I said earlier, my school was huge, so instead of just red vs. white, we were split into four teams: red, white, green, and blue.
The teams weren’t divided by grade—each class was assigned to a team, so it was a big mix of students.
One of my best memories was making our team flag, called a "dan-ki."
They gave us a big blank white cloth and we’d draw illustrations on it ourselves with paint markers.
A lot of classes drew things like tigers or dragons, and added cool-looking kanji like “Victory,” “Fūrinkazan,” or “Lightning Attack.”
It was kinda cringe but in a fun, high school way lol.
>>211655264I mean, is there really any society without some kind of caste system?
My only real reference for foreign schools is *High School Musical* lol,
but in my school, there weren’t strict rules like “you can’t sit here” or “don’t talk to that group.”
Sure, there were quiet groups, and there were louder or more flashy ones,
but the popular kids didn’t mess with others or shove anyone into lockers or anything like that.
In Japan, people sometimes call it "first-tier" or "second-tier" social groups.
The top is usually made up of gyaru and outgoing types,
then there’s a huge middle layer of regular, average students,
and at the bottom, maybe some quiet anime/light novel fans—but even they weren’t really bullied or excluded.
Friend groups tend to stay within their tier, yeah,
but it’s not like people from different levels never talk.
We’d sometimes mix and even eat lunch together now and then.
>>211655286Actually, I have more memories from university than high school!
You probably already know from anime that in high school, everyone takes the same fixed classes.
But starting in college, we get to choose our own courses.
We select them using a special portal website—I guess that part might be the same worldwide?
At my university, there was a system that let us earn money through campus jobs.
Not all schools have this, but mine did.
It came in the form of a scholarship that didn’t need to be repaid—around 30,000 yen per month.
The jobs included things like checking out books at one of the five campus libraries (yes, we had five!),
working the front desk at the school gym,
and helping out with open campus events for prospective students.
Everyone was assigned to one of those jobs.
But there was one special task that everyone had to do: cleaning desks.
We had to wipe off all the graffiti on the desks with cloths, in huge groups.
Most of the stuff written on the desks were dumb anonymous questions—
kind of like the ones I’ve been ignoring in this thread lol.
>>211655893>We had to wipe off all the graffiti on the desks with cloths, in huge groups. now that's new info. The rest is same everywhere else. Next question, do you browse this website?

Let me talk about the school culture festival, which we have both in high school and university.
Yeah, I know culture festivals show up in anime all the time,
so I’ll skip the typical stuff and just tell you about one unusual booth we had.
At my high school, it was a tradition for the senior class to run a flower shop.
Like, a real flower shop where you could buy actual flowers.
But here’s the fun part—you’d tell the shop staff who you wanted to give the flower to.
It had to be another student at the school.
Then the shop members would go find that person somewhere in the chaos of the culture festival.
They’d ask around—"Hey, have you seen ___?"—and track them down.
Once they found the student, they’d walk right up to them and hand them the flower,
usually while the person was busy running their own booth or doing a performance.
And the person who bought the flower wouldn’t even be there—it was all anonymous.
Of course, everyone around would start teasing the person who got the flower.
It was super embarrassing but kind of cute too.
Another classic booth was the popcorn stand.
But here's the interesting part: we had to do everything ourselves—
including researching and arranging to rent the popcorn machine.
That goes for every booth, actually.
And fun fact: the popcorn machines were rented from **Oriental Land**,
the company that operates Tokyo Disneyland.
>>211656104I don’t really browse Girls Channel—it kinda scares me lol.
I actually came here after watching a YouTube channel called *Kowakunotsubo DX*.
It got me curious about this place.
When you wear a skirt is there nothing covering your bottom when you sit on things? How do you get used to that?
By the way, our high school culture festival was held over two days, usually on a weekend.
Only one of those days was officially a school day—
so we had to show up in the morning, do roll call, and then we were basically free to go.
If your class wasn’t doing anything that year (some classes just gave up lol),
you’d still come for the check-in and then either go home or just walk around the festival for fun.
The other day was totally optional,
but I think most students still came anyway.

>>211656433Honestly, I never really thought about it that much.
Back then, it was pretty standard to wear black spandex shorts under our skirts,
so we didn’t have to worry too much even if things showed a bit lol.
By the way, in anime, skirts are just short by default,
but in real life, most girls folded them at the waist multiple times to make them shorter.
Did you know that?
The reason was that teachers sometimes did skirt length checks,
and if you had actually cut your skirt short, you'd be forced to buy a new one.
So you needed to be able to “restore” it to the original length when needed.
There were even special belts sold just for this purpose—
you’d wrap the skirt 2–3 times at the waist and hold it in place with that belt.
The downside was that the skirt would puff out a bit because of all the folding lol.

This was the big stationery trend back then:
After the flashy stuff went out of style,
simple plastic pencil cases suddenly became super popular.
Everyone would stick their photo booth (purikura) stickers on them like this.
>>211658366In Japan, we study English for six years in junior high and high school,
and it’s even a required subject in college—so about eight years total.
And yet, most of us still can’t speak it.

Speaking of stickers on pencil cases—
Lipton cartons used to come with little promo stickers you could collect and send in for prizes.
It became a trend to stick a bunch of them on your pencil case.
In my class, we even started sticking them on the blackboard.
By the time it reached like 50x50 cm, the teacher noticed and we got seriously scolded lol.
>>211658665It’s the same with Americans and Spanish. Most people take several years of it but don’t know anything lol. We don’t start early enough. I would send my kids to a bilingual school if I had any
>>211652929 (OP)why are immigrants in japan the cringiest worldwide?
>>211659757In Japan, sending a kid to an international school usually costs around ¥1.5 to ¥3 million per year
(about $9,500 to $19,500 USD).
On top of that, many schools require that at least one parent can speak English.
Everyone’s probably heard of “purikura” (Japanese photo booths),
but do you know how they’ve changed over time?
The earliest ones were super simple—you’d go into a booth, pick a frame,
take a photo, and it would print out.
I actually still have a Snoopy-themed purikura I took with my big sister when I was really little.
The main style during my high school days was more advanced.
You’d enter a booth, pay, take photos with green-screen backgrounds,
and then step out to a separate touchscreen area where you could decorate your pictures.
There were always a few friends who were really good at adding stamps and text—so it became their job lol.
The screen usually had two stations so people could decorate at the same time,
but once the next group started taking photos, your decorating time ended.
So it was always a race against the clock!
And here’s the fun part: along with the printed stickers,
they used to give out little extras—like fake eyelashes, cotton pads, or even Q-tips.
It was such a random but fun bonus.
Nowadays, purikura makes everyone look like an alien lol.
The freebies are totally gone, and the stickers are no longer sticky—
they’re more like cards now.
Most girls just slip them into their clear iPhone cases instead.
Oh right, speaking of purikura—
Most purikura corners in Japanese arcades actually ban men from entering unless they're with a woman.
Back when I was in high school, those areas felt almost like dressing rooms.
You could borrow cosplay outfits, and there were rows of mirrors with lights, hair irons, cotton pads, and Q-tips available.
We’d fix our makeup or glam up before heading into the booth to take photos.
Nowadays, I’ve heard some places even provide actual makeup products too.
sorry but I can't stop thinking this is probably some guy who's gooning while pretending to be a high school girl
If it’s too hard to believe, then hey—just trust yourself and keep doing your thing.

What made you learn english?
How many % of students in Japan learn a trade? Like carpenter, plumber, etc.
>>211662759I actually don’t speak English at all—everything I’ve written has been translated by AI!
But don’t worry, all the ideas and stories are mine.
As for trade skills, normal high schools in Japan pretty much don’t teach them—I’d say 0%.
Instead, there are specialized schools called “technical high schools,” where students can learn things like mechanics or construction.
I looked it up, and it turns out that less than 10% of students go to those schools!

Back in my parents’ or grandparents’ generation, it was just expected that you’d get married and have kids.
But now, it’s totally okay if you don’t want to get married—and when you give people that freedom, it turns out a lot of them don’t want to.
So I guess people just live freely and die freely too.

This bag in the photo was a huge trend back when I was in high school.
It came in tons of colors, and in our friend groups, we’d all buy the same bag in different shades.
Having matching items was actually kinda taboo—if someone bought the color you wanted, you just gave up on it lol.
I had the orange one. They’re popular again now, but it’s turned into a rare collector’s item. The price has doubled from back then!
The bag was slightly bigger than a regular school bag, and the floppier it looked, the cooler it was.

This kind of notebook decoration was super popular back then.
If you’re curious, I can show you some of the typical phrases people used to write—though they might be hard to translate.
…But I’ll probably post them anyway, even if you’re not.
“2仔1”
Romaji: Nikoichi
English translation:
“Two people, one unit.”
It means “we’re like two parts of one whole.” The idea is that the two are inseparable, like a perfect pair.
Nuance in Japanese:
This phrase was often used among close friends, especially in high school. It could be adapted to bigger groups too, like “5仔1” for a group of five. The character 「仔」 (normally meaning “young animal” or “child”) isn’t usually used in this context — it was chosen just because it looked cute.
Originally, “2個1” (nikoichi) was used to describe something like two used machines being combined into one functioning unit — often used in car or electronics contexts. Girls repurposed the word to describe deep friendship in a stylish or playful way.
「男一瞬、ダチ一生」
Romanized: Otoko isshun, dachi isshō
Translation: “A boyfriend is temporary, but friends are forever.”
Nuance:
A classic phrase among girls that expresses the belief that while romantic relationships may come and go, friendships are meant to last a lifetime. It’s a sentimental declaration of loyalty between close friends, often written in decorated notebooks or on purikura (photo booth stickers).
「ずっ友」
(Zuttomo)
Short for “zutto tomodachi” – meaning “forever friends.”
Of course, I don’t keep in touch with the friend I wrote this with on the purikura.

>>211681399We had a student council in our school too and I didn't like that they were just assistants to the teachers so we tried to overthrow it several times by promoting our candidate at the annual school president election. In Moscow the driving school costs around 80k and the unofficial fee to secure a successful exam is around 100k and that's even considered expensive.
I guess all of those fees in Japan and frequent 車検 are offset by the fact that the cars themselves are very cheap

Our school had an official constitution ignored by everyone and I just wanted to restore the procedures and institutions that are defined in the constitution, like I wanted to restore the school parliament and sort of reform the system to be more democratic and to make enthusiastic students actually be able to influence all these processes.
Why? Idk. Just to prove that I can I guess. Also my crush was in the SC and maybe after I gave up on her I decided to overthrow her snake nest

While all other classes had to spend time after classes to do stupid shit required by the council, like AIDS awareness posters or shit like that, our class would just refuse and maybe do the bare minimum before the deadline. So yeah I kinda tried to protect our class from the bullshit just out of spite

>>211681657I’m not that Japanese person you’re thinking of!
We’re different people!”
**“As for the desks and tents, those are usually school equipment.
The tents are also used for sports festivals, so most schools already have them for events like that.
Then we just attach wooden signs to make them look like proper booths.
In high school, the school provided everything.
We just submitted a list of necessary equipment and rental items, and the teacher approved it.
In university, students usually split the cost themselves,
or if it’s a club, they use the annual club fees collected from members.
>>211681679In Japan, there usually aren’t even that many people who want to be on the student council in the first place.
Most of the time, there are just one or two candidates, and they give a single speech at a school assembly — that’s it.
There’s no large-scale campaigning or anything like that.
>>211682104Here it was the same every year
Some roasting would go to every class and say "If I get elected we will get to spend a night in the school! "
No one has ever fulfilled that promise. And there would be a bunch of spoiler candidates without any program.
When we ran, my guy was a popular figure, especially among 12 year olds, but he was hella autistic. So we made a deal, he would be the official candidate and the face of the operation but I would take all the responsibilities. We were exposing the current council and promising empowering reforms and the council was absolutely unprepared for any sort of competition so they postponed the election day and were going to each class and threatening everyone that if my guy wins we will bring havoc and destruction and chaos and the school will literally fall apart and everyone will be expelled and sent to regular schools kek.
So yeah people got scared and my guy only got 30%. We had genius posters hung out around the school too, it was just a photo of him showing thumbs up but in a very specific way (bent thumb) and his name in white on red background (subtle navalny reference, it was exactly around time he tried to run for office so that added to the meme effect of our posters)
Also it's funny that I got respect of the teachers simply for cutting my hair short. I used to have long hair and the teacher responsible for overseeing behavior would get mad at me everyday and once I decided to change style and did a regular haircut that teacher was so happy and started being very favorable to me. She even bailed me out when I got accused of threatening a guy with a knife and cursing him by putting alleged grave dirt on his desk
By the way, are you the one from 京大?

>>211682377getting backed by the faculty is a big plus for a candidate, but I mostly find that teachers who care too much about student affairs are more interested in reliving their popular school days than running a functional government
>>211682636I find it crazy how in some countries, like Japan, your school grades and stuff like that can affect your career. any stories about bullying/delinquent behavior?
the worst one I heard is that one time a kid tried to poison his rival for honors by putting mercury on the girl's drink, then there is gang related violence like kids rioting on the street throwing molotov cocktails at each other
usually though it's either teenage pregnancy or shoplifting
>>211682957Is that in Philippines?
Our school didn't really have bullying. There was one autistic guy and we liked to lightly have fun at his expense. Nothing too harsh, like one of my friends would every day ask him
>what is your opinion about gays? And depending on his answer he would either ask "are you gay? " or "are you homophobic? "
One of my other friends would retell him the entire lore of the transphormers universe during the breaks.
I would make tank jokes around him.
I think the dude actually had some kind of mental illness that made him addicted to playing world of tanks on his phone all the time, during every lesson. One time I heard him whisper "blyat...." during computer science class and I asked him
>couldn't pierce the armor? And he literally snapped and tried throwing his chair at me.
As for more yabai kind of stuff, our librarian turned out to be a literal prostitute and a nymphomaniac - she sucked off one dude from another class in the book storage

There is no point in learning Japanese if you never experience school life and all the clichés in Japan.
Only work, and if you are rich or work remotely and can afford more time off, then everyone else is still working and you won't establish any relationships. What's the point of doing anything that won't bring you closer to people? And wages are not that good.
I just realized it.
>>211656966In the 1980s in the USA even men wore short clothes. I think it's because people are more optimistic, so they are more carefree and less worried. Also, the age structure has changed and as the society is older on average all generations are becoming slightly older in behavior. Today's grandmothers complaining about the indecent clothing of today's youth used to dress much more provocatively, but there are too few young people and too many old people in the general population, so everything is made for the old people, even social norms.

To explain my view of the world. Imagine the world as the first myth, where every object present within has an intrinsic symbolic value. That's what allows rituals to work, the sympathy between symbols. A rite is merely a recreation in mundane time of events that are supratemporal in nature. You can also read the world like you would a book, that is the reason divination works as well. You just need to become semantically informed.
You know relativity in physics? How there's no actual center of the universe, neither temporal or spatial. The actual center of the universe is the supratemporal, supraspatial, mythical plane of existance. That is the hypercosmic myth, the one that exist previous to space and time and is reflected on the material world, like the sun is reflected into the lake in an imperfect form.
Through skillful rites we can enter this space beyond space and this time beyond time. It's going from the edges of the wheel towards the axis.

>>211696527Canadian nigger lady is also too dumb to bypass her three days ban, kek.
>>211696567>neoplatonism>shingonDamn bro you're based.
My worldview also aligns strongly with neoplatonism, although I'm not doing any spiritual practices right now.
In your opinion, is the symbolic nature present in every object objective or subjecive in nature? Descriptive or prescriptive?
I believe that there is some objective spiritual/metaphysical structure of the world abd maybe some objective metaphysical archetypes existing within it, but the symbolism is mostly subjective and prescriptive, i.e. the symbols only matter when they make sense to the practitioner
>>211696854I think they are objective. But humans discover their meaning as they interact and coexist with them. A symbol can have more meaning than a word, or rather a more multidimensional nature, they are able to express truths that can't be explicitly conveyed through words.
>>211697280I agree that symbols can convey meaning bypassing language and intellect, which are inherently imperfect, and symbols talk directly to the subconscious.
However I'm still not sure whether they're objective or subjective in nature. I don't like such choices and I think that probably both types of symbols exist.
>>211697402It's the concept behind synthematas.
To go back to the sun analogy.
The reflection of the sun in the lake is not the sun, but nonetheless it has objective solar characteristics. Its brightness, for example. It is an imperfect reflection of the true sun.
So is a piece of gold. It is connceted to the metaphysical aspects that also give rise to the physical sun. Thus the gold bar and the sun are both solar in their own nature, both horses and the sea are Neptunian in nature, both roses and doves are Venusian.
I don't think symbols could work if they weren't objective, otherwise men would be able to craft whatever thing and claim it's a solar object. I find that more nominalist positions on these topics tend to lead towards esoteric paths that are way more volatile in nature.
what do you do for living nowdays
>>211698299I understand, but that raises the question: does gold have Solar nature by itself, or because we as obervers draw the association?
For example, why in some cultures Sun is masculine and Moon is feminine, like in Europe, but in some it's vice-versa?
If the symbols were objective, wouldn't they be the same across cultures and regions?
Drawing gold=>sun connection is pretty easy so we have it in a lot of places, but I'm not sure about more subtle symbolic interpretations.
I'm not saying that this system doesn't work, but I think it might be more of a prescriptive system, which we build ourselves through practice and contemplation, rather than something which exists on its own. I'm not sure.
>>211699167Everything in everything else, but according to each.
Symbols are complex and prismatic, multidimensional.
To draw an analogy, people often tend to say things like
Dionysus = God of Wine
Apollo = God of Music
Venus = Goddess of Love
But it is way more comolex and multifaceted than that. It's not like the God is entirely contained and limited to these little boxes in mythology books aimed at a a teenage public.
The moon can be both masculine and femenine. I would actually say that it requires for there to be a masculine and femenine aspect to it.
All cultures are a result of distortion of the trascendental truth, some might be closer, others might be farther away. But different cultures also tune themselves to different aspects and give them more emphasis.
A system which implies subjective value to symbola would require a bottom up structure, which just doesn't make sense to me. It would imply that matter is the base of reality rather than its "outermost" element.
Symbols are like numbers. 2 + 2 will always be 4. This is independent of the subjectivity of each people. It is impossible that the addition of 2 apples and 3 apples would magically give you 6 apples.
>>211699653Thank you, that makes sense to me. I forgot about the principle of polarity

Sorry! But I really enjoyed reading it!
In Japan, not many people follow a specific religion, but I feel like a lot of people have a kind of animistic mindset.
I actually enjoy visiting shrines, and when I was in high school, I worked part-time as a miko (shrine maiden) during New Year’s and in October—but that doesn’t mean I’m a believer or anything.
I had never heard of Mount Koya before.
But it seems like it’s quite famous in the Kansai region as a powerful spiritual place—also known as a haunted spot.

He actually started by making Vocaloid music on Nico Nico Douga before debuting as a major artist!

>>211713563It’s hard to describe because winter has always just been there for me haha.
But actually, a lot of people say winter is their favorite season!
There are unique things you can only experience in winter—for example, the air somehow feels incredibly crisp and clear.
That’s why going to a shrine with friends or family on New Year’s feels really special and refreshing. The atmosphere is just different!
In Tokyo, it rarely goes much below 0°C, usually just slightly below at dawn.
So it’s not even that cold compared to other parts of Japan.
Hokkaido can get down to –20°C, and in Okinawa it stays around 15°C even in winter!
Haha, I kind of had that image of Brazil in my head too.
At my high school, we didn’t have many “delinquent” types.
That might be more common in areas outside Tokyo.
But I did have a classmate who used to sneak manga out from a manga café and stash them in a locker at the back of our classroom.
Everyone in class just borrowed and read them freely lol.
That’s how I ended up reading Beck and Higanjima.
Drugs weren’t really around us, but alcohol was super easy to get and cheap,
so some high schoolers would drink occasionally.
Also cigarettes!
>>211715757Haha sorry! I know Persona is super popular, but I’ve never actually played or watched it

In our high school light music club, this was one of the very first songs that beginners would learn and play at live shows.
The bass, drums, and guitar parts are all relatively simple and easy to pick up!
I’ve always felt that a lot of Western music tends to have pretty straightforward chord progressions,
but Japanese bands often use really complex, unusual chords—it made covering their songs so much harder!
There was a cute Japanese exchange student at my high school.
What qualities do you as a Japanese adult woman find attractive in men?
How would that differ from back when you were a JK?

Kids who weren’t in a club would often stop by McDonald’s on the way home to kill time chatting with friends, or go to karaoke.

>>211717691To the user from the Philippines:
Basically, most clubs have a supervising teacher.
If it’s a competitive club, sometimes they even bring in coaches from outside.
But in my case, I was in the light music club, and we didn’t have anything like that!
Starting a new club is a little tricky, but it’s possible!
You need to find a teacher who’s willing to be the advisor and gather a certain number of students who want to join in advance.
But teachers usually don’t want extra work, so it’s not easy to find one who will say yes…
By the way, what do people usually do when a thread hits the bump limit?
