Am I the only one here who can understand spoken English in YouTube videos pretty well, but have trouble undertanding music and films in English?

I don't know what else to do. I've seen hundreds of movies in English, but all of them with English subs.

We have the same issues. It's the sound mixing or usually someone trying to a dialect that isn't there own
Meaning, dude you are all good. It's not you, it's the media. Pearl jam, most rappers, red hot chilli peppers, half the English actors trying to be American, it's brutal sometimes we can't understand everything

I also have this problem from time to time. They often say the words in music with heavy accent to make it more rhythmic and shiet which makes me misshear them but after I see the text I can gennerally hear them well. idk about movies though because I don't watch goyslop

maybe. I'd consider leaving spoken word playing in the background while you do other stuff, like podcasts or radio

you get better with more exposure to english
i had the same thing but i got better and now i can understand all the movies and tv series with no subtitles
