I think they're quite evil rn but I do find Israel to be a fascinating country to study and observe, it's genuinely just "interesting" how it was formed in such recent times and how it has developed, how various Jew diapsoras mixed together, the way militarism shapes their culture, etc.
I don't have any particular attachment to it, if it collapses in the future I'll just shrug, but it's fascinating to watch it right now, like seeing an exotic big animal at the zoo.
