Are these the four biggest schizo countries in the world? Like, countries whose national history and identity is the furthest disconnected from reality? Countries whose countrymen are the most delusional when it comes to the details their own existence?

Israelis are the genetic descendants of Romans murdering and expelling the genetic descendants of Jews, believing they are the genetic descendants of Jews expelled by the Romans re-taking "their" land. China believes it has thousands of years of continuous lineage despite having been occupied and ruled by the Mongols for a hundred years, and holds claims over territories it never actually held. North Macedonia retroactively created it's own ethnicity since Macedonians are just Bulgarians who were mindfucked by Serbs, and I don't even know where to begin with Azerbaijan.

I know a lot of countries take liberties with their own histories, but these four seem the most utterly disconnected from reality. I'd put all four above North Korea, even.

China is not a country that has existed continuously for thousands of years; the Yuan dynasty from 1205 to 1279 was ruled entirely by Mongol conquerors. The current Chinese state is at best ~800 years old.
