I live in an old van, rotate across a few friendly parking lots, shower at the gym, laundromat for laundry, library on really hot or cold days...
it's not ideal but hey, I can't afford to be alive anymore, so it's better than the alternative

if you can find a part-time night job (to cover gas, food, phone, repairs, etc) it's ideal; you're a lot less suspicious parked somewhere during daylight hours
also get a portable battery pack with a folding solar panel (when you can afford one) - it's free power
don't park by tall grass or rocky spots, either. mice like to hang out there and will try to move on in with you

Your upward mobility is actually higher as a low income person if youre sleeping in a car or something rather than renting. You spend a much smaller fraction of your wages and have more free time to learn skills and what not.
