if you are mentioning about the capture of American bases in Philippines, it was rather schemed by the US army to burden us for the treatment of their captives.
The captured bases were very distant from any surrounding depot in the jungle without any transportation route, but the US army left most of soldiers there except for some commanders.
Our army took effort to deal with the imminent food scarcity of 700 thousand US soldiers and decided to move them to the nearest depot. of course many of them unfortunately starved to death on the way to the destination and you criticized it by calling it death march or something. However you must rather thank us to have rescued the lives of the majority of the American soldiers. A lot more Americans would have lost their lives were it not for our decision and instruction.

My grandpas are german but they didn't live in germany during or after the war. But they told me other family members that did, told them that during the occupation, usually american soldiers treated german civilians much better and with more respect than french or british soldiers. They were also forced to house an american soldier at their apartment for a couple of months but he was alright.
