Europe really feels like a land chosen by God. There are hardly any natural disasters, and even though most cities are farther north than the northern tip of Hokkaido, the weather is mild. Above all, it’s a stable place.

Right now, I’m in Tokyo, where today’s high is 31°C (and this is just the beginning of summer). The humidity is, of course, sky-high, and it’s honestly pretty miserable.

They say that if global warming keeps getting worse, Europe might end up becoming a freezing wasteland. Personally, I think that kind of challenge would be fair for the privileged people of Europe.

i dont know what youre talking about but i live in northern italy which is often praised as some insanely beautiful place and guess what no one lives in the nature.
theres a DISGUSTING amount of mosquitos, the air quality is awful, the humidity is repulsive, there is 0 wind to cool you off it fucking sucks i hate it so much

It really does. Looking over their history only reinforces this, but getting past the sadness, it only feels like a joke too malicious not to laugh at, like the way a child would "prank" his older brother by flooding his room and stealing his furniture.

If ever you want to see comedy on a divine scale, try looking at the world and its history (10,000 B.C-2,000 AD) from the perspective of West Africa. It's the most absurd thing you'll ever witness.

Aid packages are almost always spent only in a select group of countries as a form of indirect subsidy, and the conditions for receiving aid essentially entail ceding mineral rights to the provider country.
