We have enough diversity. I can't understand Cantonese or other southern dialects at all.

China is a diverse country with 56 recognized ethnic groups and lots of regional cultures, dialects and cuisines

99% of those are entirely integrated into mainstream Chinese society and their kids don't even speak their ancestral language. Most of the minority culture is just LARP for tourists. Even their Chinese dialects are all going extinct as everyone adopts standard Mandarin.
