I don't. The doc said I could take finasteride but I looked up the potential side effects and decided against it.
I should just shave my hair but my scalp has many ugly moles so then I would look even worse.

7 days in on that shit, my hairline has always been kinda shit but I've started losing hair on the crown over the past 6 to 12 months and only noticed recently. 30 btw. A trip to Turkey might be in the future.

you need to be on finasteride after the hair transplant. Also finasteride doesn't castrate you, it will actually reduce your free testosterone because it's not getting converted to DHT.

I've taken them for 2-3 years now.

I took finasteride for about 2 years then switched to dutasteride but finasteride was still working when I switched. I never expected it to actually work so said I'd take it for a year and see what happens, there was clear regrowth others were noticing after 3 months and by the time I'd took them for a year friends I hadn't seen for a while were asking if I'd had a transplant or similar.

The pic is mine and I'm happy to answer any questions. If you know nothing about them, there are 3 main treatments. Finasteride is the main one and highly effective and dutasteride is just a stronger version of finasteride. There is also minoxidil which works but nowhere near as well as these 2 and isn't enough alone.

I have had absolutely no side effects of any kind before this comes up.

I wouldn't base medical decisions on what seems wrong or unsafe as opposed to looking at scientific studies and seeing what they find or just listening to the doctor since the conclusions will often be very unintuitive. I'm not sure if it is actually safe or not I don't take it.

My complaint with minox and the reason I don't take it is that the topical version gives you far less results than dutasteride yet is 100x more effort and inconvenitn. Even the oral version sounds like a pain in the ass cause it is harder to get and makes hair grow everywhere.

Depends on the cause but I would guess this is just the normal aging process.

Other guesses would be PCOS if you have ovaries or cushings disease if you have other symptoms. There are other hormonal causes but these are rarer.

Have you been diagnosed with any medical conditions? Are you overweight?

Again I'd like to reiterate it sounds normal unless there is the presence of other symptoms.

Fin is the key. It's perfectly benign unless you are overdosing on it. It has a long half life so its effects can be felt with as little as 0.5mg every 3 days. The sexual side effects meme is confirmation bias, studies show that the placebo group had the same rate of sexual complications ~5%, men just have sex issues these days and if they're on fin they blame the fin.

I did a shit ton of research before going on it as I'm a weightlifter and take pride in my test and strength, it's been 6 years now, no issues, thick head of hair. So take that advice, or don't, doesn't matter to me if you want to be a baldy.
