Unironically what do orthodox Jews do for living whether in the US or Israel?

I've seen Wall Street countless times on film and IRL and I've never seen any of these guys around. They walk everywhere dressed like that so I would surely notice

Ultraorthodox (the ones in your picture) have small stores in their own neighborhoods or live on welfare. Normal Orthodox have a variety of jobs.

Women don't work at all and about half of the men are completely unemployed too. Those who work are in typical jewish fields such as finances and law. Their service industry is tiny and only serves their own communities, so those who work in it barely scrape by. All of them receive some sort of welfare, a good chunk of them live completely on welfare that they get after their 8+ children. In Israel, their welfare comes from the state and they're exempt from the draft, things that make them particularly disliked by the rest of jews, especially when they start protesting, demanding more gibs. In America, their welfare comes from donations from other jews, since the state only provides them with basic necessities, because they have little to no income and they live well beneath the poverty line like Mexicans, although Mexicans are just abusing the state by not declaring their actual earnings, while hasidic jews really have no income, legit or not. They aren't particularly rich, in fact they're the poorest jewish demographic, they live in tiny apartments with their massive families, most of them can't afford cars, although they don't really need it because they rarely leave their communities. Another interesting thing is that hasidic jews in America have their own quasi police force. They're still policed by regular state police officers, but jewish community leaders highly discourage their fellow jews from interacting with them and instead they tell them to rely on their own semi official police, made up of fellow hasidic jews. They can't legally arrest anyone and don't carry weapons, but whenever there's a dispute or altercation in the community, they usually call them first and don't bother regular emergency services.

Powerful individuals or groups might take a percentage from transactions in various industries—especially if they operate within a small, influential network while the majority of people remain unaware or unaffected.

The women work a high paying profession and the men get good boy points for attending yeshiva school and get some sort of stipend from their organizations for doing what is considered a pious thing that pleases god, comparable to monasticism. However not all orthodox jewish men do this and many either own businesses that support the jewish lifestyle and all its autistic rules (making kosher food, clothes, devices, etc.) or they have a job that is usually kind of passive income like being a land lord, or they go the ultimate jew build and follow in the footsteps of the ancient merchants and pursue stuff like the gem trade and cut diamonds like little gringotts goblins which is pretty based and trad if you ask me.
