To answer OPs question, if you don't look like a weeb, and are confident, you just approach, never like a disgusting guy trying to date, but with a non dating question, do normal conversation. If theres more than a girl, its actually way better, one on one approach is harder for newbies.
Always go after the bad looking one, dont give ANY attention to the most attractive one, even give her your back, dont look at her. That way the ugly one will feel happy, and the hot one will feel jealous. After a while, the hot one will even start touching your arm looking for attention, they can't hold it, they NEED attention. After that, leave. Yeah, leave. Be around and just look at them some times. not too much though. They will come later, if they don't, they don't but in general, they will approach, or will come closer, then you can get closer and give them a bit more of attention, then take it out.
