Are there really people here that don't own their own home?

In countries where houses are treated like stocks instead of basic human rights, yes.
I live in such a country.

dont forget the erosion of family values + normalization of debt.
in china property is still treated as a value store, but families pool their money together to ensure everybody has their own place to live.
here it's expected you'll leave the house at 18, rent for 15 years or so, and then go into debt for 40 years to live in a poorly made shitshack. it's not even really yours until the end of that 40 years. if something happens to it, you're liable for it. the bank can also just hike up your interest rate and you can't do anything about it.
on top of that, in order to even be eligible for the privilege of basically becoming a slave, you have to constantly be buying shit on credit forcing you into a cycle of consumerism and minor debt.

honestly if you sat down sand think about the whole picture, it's really hard to not get disgusted with this country.
it didn't used to be this way. i wish chuds would focus more on this very real demoralization that's dug itself in like a carolina tick than bitch about trannies.
