People are always surprised when they find out my parents didn't even argue.
Last day of 9th grade, didn't even wait for my final grades (didn't have any anyway) and I left before the final class photo. Went home, told mom and dad "never going to school again" and they just accepted it. They already knew me well by then.

I spent two years barely holding it together after 9th grade, failing most classs, then somewhere along the end of the second year I dropped out because I felt stressed and depressed and we've just never talked about it ever since.

Tried going back to school a year later but noticed I got put in there with other fuckups and I just felt so defeated I told them I'm not coming back the next day.

Computer science. I didn't fall for the meme I genuinely chose this field because nothing else interested me. At first I wanted to do graphic design but realized it wasn't for me so I quit. I graduated a year ago snd aside from one internship I finished 6 months ago I can't find a single junior position job. And I don't even want to be a lazy codemonkey forever, my goal is DevOps but I gotta start from some position like codemonkey but no one wants to hire me. I don't know what to do at this point

Master's degree in pure mathematics.
Maybe. Wanted to be a mathematician, realized math wasn't for me. Got hired as a programmer and I make good money. Sounds good, but my regret is that I have played catch-up with the talented programmers and if I had just always focused on programming I'd have been much better at it. Most programmers are, of course, average. The best ones have been peogramming since they were children, I started at like 23.

I have a mostly useless but very interesting undergrad degree, and an MBA. The MBA was “worth it” in that people with MBAs love to hire other people with MBAs, so it opened doors to multiple opportunities to wear a suit and hang out with assholes. It wasn’t worth it because the path I ended up on was poisonous to my fucking soul—I spent a year or two just surprised to be making money, and then another seven years hating everything about my job and everyone involved in it. My last company finally went through a really ugly restructuring, during which I volunteered to be laid off.

Since then I’ve been retraining to do something completely different that I hope won’t make me want to kill myself.

Should have gotten a master's degree though since many jobs require it in Sweden. For STEM degrees here most programs are designed to have both the BSc + MSc under the same "curriculum"

Until this shit last before we going to be replaced with AI it's still good money.
At least If it happen I will not be butthurt since I did not invest years of study for a degree.

High school. I just didn't see a point, I've lacked ambition since a very young age and as I've grown older I've realised that all that a better degree gets me is a higher percentage of taxation and perhaps a better result on the sexual market, but even then I'd have to settle for used goods.

I just simply don't give enough of a shit, so I just work a dead end job that pays just enough to ensure I don't starve.
