Happy midsummer /int/bros. How do people in your country celebrate the longest day of the year? What will you be doing today? In Sweden it's a very big deal

You get day drunk during a family lunch and then you dance around a pole. Then you keep drinking, eating and play games. Allegedly young people have a lot of parties and sex.

apparently we call it “nabuníoba”

no time for celebration. The exam has 3 parts, with like a 30 minutes - 60 minutes (or whatever the professor feels like) break in between so we end up spending all day at the campus. After the exam I also have to prepare a bit for a learning program that starts the very next day at a local company.
I'll celebrate after I'm done with that program

2 celebrations actually
>christian, mainstream
corpus christi, young girls throw flowers on the road and young boys ring small bells while everyone and the priest goes on a walk
>old polish pagan, very niche
noc kupały, celebrations of the shortest night in the year, young girls throw flowers into the river, girls and boys bathe in rivers/lakes then go in the middle of the night looking for fern flower (you see where its going <333) and a bunch of other things is done

My birthday is in March. My sisters birthday is in March. My older brothers birthday is on April 2nd.
