I've seen it multiple times (I am Brit on holiday) and every time no one did anything. People legit just watch, walk on by and maybe odd person calls the police. One the guy just went off as I was walking over and another time the guy was just nuts and there was some shouting and pushing but nothing happened.

The worst one by far was when someone pulled a knife and then I put my bag over my arm and planned to charge him, blocking with the bag and punch/kick him unconscious but he legged it when I started shouting and ran at him. This one was legit terrifying and shook me up bad cause was aware I might die.

This will sound edge/cringe but my childhood was really abusive and damaging. Nothing pisses me off more than the awareness everyone knew no one did anything and therefore if I see something like this I will do something (obviously just talking would be preferable I tried to avoid this he was nuts, happened years ago now).
