It doesn't matter and I'm speaking from experience. I'm light brown or olive and I get pretty brown during summer if I don't wear sunscreen. I also have a beard like the shitalians in OP and while it does make me look more like a stereotypical ayrab or turkroach, not having one doesn't make me look white.
Having a beard doesn't help, but I simply don't look white regardless. I like having a beard, it hides my tiny chin and I don't care if I look more arabic or turkish. At least I'm not a manlet.
