just kinda wondering, idk if any of you guys are still around, but i thought i'd be nice to hear some advice from any of you who were around during the glory days of the /cp/ general, since my recent visit with a tandem qt kinda ended badly when i actually met her (a lot of it was just stuff in her personal life souring the mood, so it wasn't really my fault much) ,but In any case she wants to be just friends now, so i guess that's my loss, if i ever want to try the international qt route on tandem or somewhere else, what's something i should do or be aware of?

Been with my gf from Tandem for about 4 years. Before that I literally had to work my way up the social anxiety ladder from some penpal app that took a couple days to deliver messages, then texting, then voice messages, then finally calls, then I met her.
It was rocky, and still can be cause we're both autists. But all in all it's pretty sweet. We live together most of the year in Brazil and took a vacation to the Caribbean this year.

Advancing things was awkward as fuck, it was technically meeting as friends, but we had been lightly flirting for months. At the end of the first meet I just asked if I could hold her hand, that was as far as I had confidence to do.
We went from flirting, to her deflecting, to making out, to her going cold, me going home, then her reaching out again after I was moving on
But I'll say that being together felt really easy and natural from the beginning. I slowly got better at putting less pressure on things, and she got less likely to run away at the first sign of anxiety.

I can't say anything for your situation, but remember that the girls on there are just as autistic as us. Those forces batting together can cause unpredictable outcomes.

As a 30something with a gf, a demanding full time job and my parents who are leaving this world and require medical attention, 4chan has become my way to satisfy my brain's need of social time. It's the equivalent of going to the local bar, disconnect and have a beer with my friends.
Tried to quit it, I managed to reduce the use of internet and smartphone in general, less time on shitty apps and news website, but with 4chan I realized it was harder than I thought. It really does fill a void.
