I wasn’t speaking for the American nation but as an individual. We all have a responsibility to prevent future conflict. But I do find it ironic that in this particular context you would bring up Iran, considering the fact that the intention of the strikes was to put an end to the Iranian nuclear program, in other words the proliferation of the nuclear weapons that do horrify you.

I’m not sure why you think it’s relevant. Yes, there was a desire among many to get involved in the ongoing World War, for understandable reasons

I don’t support complete nuclear disarmament, or Israel, or the strikes in Iran. You know nothing about my politics, and I was pointing out the irony in your views, not my own. You act like the nuclear bomb is the worst thing the world, then condemn strikes specifically intended to prevent their proliferation. It’s funny to me, that’s all.
>killed innocent people because they are muslims
You have a child’s view of the situation in the Middle East if you think America is out to “kill Muslims.” It’s morbid to say this, but if America wanted to kill Muslims, we could be doing so a lot more effectively. Precision strikes with bunker busters are not the way to maximize civilian casualties. You could make the same point about Israel. Whether or not you support their actions, their aggression is targeted.

Nobody is saying nuclear weapons are good. The best that can be said of them is that they’re a necessary evil. If Operation Downfall had been executed, the degree of death and devastation would’ve been unimaginable. It would’ve made the dropping of the bombs look like nothing. Even if there were certain figures in the Japanese government who wanted peace, authority was too decentralized for any kind of meaningful movement towards surrender to be put into action without an overwhelming show of force that would prove plans like Ketsu Go would be futile. As a matter of fact, several Japanese commanders in places like China still refused to surrender even after the bombings until it was made clear to them that the Soviets were serious about entering the war and they would never be able to resist their ground forces. This is the degree of fanaticism that was present. They thought “Well, they can nuke the home islands, sure, but they won’t nuke our forces abroad. Press on, men!”
>do you trust in criminal?
Do you trust in the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard that funds terrorist projects across the globe and has repeatedly made clear its desires to annihilate its enemies by any means necessary? And I’m not even saying this to support the strikes. I don’t support the strikes.
>like america did to Iraq?
Literally yes. Do you have any idea how many innocent people died meaninglessly in the wars that followed 9/11? Completely absurd conflicts. America is clearly not acting in this instance how it did then

We have records from the Japanese government about the organization of civilian militias that they were going to deploy against American troops. They gave spears to 17 year old girls and told them to fight to the death. Really think about what this looks like. They had already formed I believe ~25 million Japanese civilians into militias by the time of the surrender. Really think about what this would’ve looked like

I don’t understand what you’re getting at. Are you asking me to prove it would’ve been bloody? Because that’s what I was doing when I brought up the militias. The OP is about the “Glorious Death of the 100 Million.” If you’re questioning whether Operation Downfall was a real plan, I mean… look at the massive preparations that were being made on Okinawa. Look at the inland beach and inland defenses the Japanese military had been putting together. Look at the formation of the militias and the raising of new divisions that was going on. They knew it was coming.

I mean, we know for a fact that Iran has 60% enriched uranium. You only need ~3.67% for production of nuclear energy, and 90% for use in nuclear bombs. They could have bombs within a few months if they really wanted it. I don’t know if they really wanted it. It’s plausible but not certain, and Israel is our source telling us they were on the verge of creating weapons, and of course they’re not entirely unbiased.

I’m not a Trump supporter. I don’t support the strikes. I don’t think we should’ve left the Iran Nuclear Deal to begin with. I think that was a huge mistake on his part. I don’t necessarily believe Israel when they say they were about to complete nuclear weapons. However, we know for a fact Iran was enriching uranium far past the point that was necessary for civilian uses. It seems clear to me that they at least wanted to keep the nuclear option available for themselves. We also as far as we know don’t know specifically what the intelligence report Trump received said. I also thought you didn’t trust the government?

even if it were true like the white organization which is ruled by white people whose countries attacked iran says, do you think its allowed to destroy iran without negotiation without declaration of war?

Again, I’m not going to make excuses for the strikes. This whole situation is rotten. In fact I think this whole modern world is so rotten we don’t need to come up with any delusional conspiracy theories about Jews or white colonizer nuclear scientists in Vienna to make it any worse. We should’ve stuck to the old deal, delayed their nuclear progress, kept closely monitoring them and waited for the Iranian people to restore the legitimate government. Instead of doing that we ended up in this situation because people choose to be dumb, impatient, and pessimistic

the reason why the western society is getting chaotic more and more is because the people dont follow the rules of the society.
those countries this time broke international law.
and they spread the chaos to the world.
thats the problem.

Yes, people are forgetting their God, their manners and their morals. It’s getting worse by the year. The only thing I can do is apologize. It’s not within my power to restore sanity in this country or any other. I’m a teacher and I’ve seen firsthand how difficult it is to make a lesson stick.

you dont have to appologize to anyone. its what america and NATO did.
education is important. the reason why america became shit is because the government didnt give a fuck about education which should be given even to lower citizens. but they didnt.
instead they(both gop and dem) used it to gather votes (rainbow or christian fundamentalism: you know more about this than me )
trump abandoned public education it seems.

They say "Operation Downfall" would've caused more damage to the Japanese population. Actually, it happened, but not in Japan, it happened in Korea.

Korean War caused twice bigger casualties than Pacific War, so they were right about their claim.

>The US dropped a total of 635,000 tons of bombs, including 32,557 tons of napalm, on Korea. By comparison, the U.S. dropped 160,000 on Japan during WW2. J Howard McGrath, referred to the Koreans as “rodents,” and thus had no regrets about the ongoing slaughter.

>In 1951, war correspondent Tibor Meráy said that there were “no more cities in Korea.” He added, “My impression was that I am traveling on the moon because there was only devastation—every city was only a collection of chimneys.” An estimated 2.5 million Koreans died in the bombing, most of them civilians, many of them incinerated by napalm.

You know after WW2, what the US did to Korea? They said something like, "We liberated Asia from da evil Jap empire!" and divided the peninsula at 38 latitude or by autistic straight line. And these American christians genocided 20% of the Korean population, not only North Koreans, killed a lot of South Koreans too. And they started the same proxy war shit in Vietnam later. lol
