What are your thoughts on Iran? I’m an Iranian diaspora and I’m excited for the future of my country since we are heading towards secularization and modernization. Our economy will become a powerhouse in the world, we also have a large amount of STEM graduates.

West want to regime you for a shah, not democracy. You'll lose access to most of your natural ressources. That's the price. An actual war might imply chinese intervention. Not that they care, they don't, but if dropping weapon and aid to the regime can prolonge the USA in a war it can't get out easily, it's less attention that is given to east-asia. Taiwan invasion might happen. But nothing never happen so it's going to be millitary and/or trade agreement that favor japanese-chinese-ASEAN relation over the USA.
