Germany existed because in WWII:
1. Russia wanted a buffer state and cannon fodder
2. The US wanted the European war to end quickly so that they can face their true enemy, Japan.
Churchil and de Gaulle wanted to wipe Germany off the map but America was in charge of the Allies by then. Fun fact, there were German nobility factions who wanted to make Edward VIII as King after WWII on account of him being of German noble house.

Modern-day Germany has a reason to exist and it's tied to the holocaust. Its the founding act of the Federal Republic of Germany. It was the supreme guilt. They show the way of repentance and God's mercy in allowing them to keep their country. Today they're one of Israel's greatest allies, much more than France and the UK.

Germany is unironically one of the better countries out there (yes better than mine).
