Up to a point higher IQ just measures higher capacity for short term memory, not logical reasoning. The guy might be very good at holding a lot of words in his short term memory and repeating them backwards (some tests literally do that) but that doesn't mean he is intrinsically "smarter" or better at lateral thinking, pattern recognition, linguistic reasoning or social intelligence, he just has a better RAM.
