Yes. Sometimes their dam bursts and causes flooding in the northern regions. The federal government pays big money flying planes with sensors to detect where the beaver dams are and how they've changed since the last time. If there is a dam that's causing draught downstream or is too big and could potentially cause, they send people to break the beaver dams.
