>>212065275 (OP) It happens not nearly often enough. We have hunted our entire beaver population to extinction at least twice in recorded history, and current reintroduction efforts only started in the late 1970s. But we have at least 5000 of the industrious little guys at the moment, and I wish them many offspring.
>>212066795 B-but how i was told by my uncloids and cousinoids that the swiss are one with nature and live like tolkien elves in them idst of wildlife nad pastures and seren forests
Beavers are crazy in how they can change their environment. They are only below humans in that regard. You guys should read up about how in the US we had beaver dams that stretched miles and you could walk on like a road with the water flowing underneath them.

We have some beavers near a river here (the IJssel). They felled a couple of trees and the sumps really do look like those pointy gnawed stumps that you see in cartoons. I didnt think they'd actually do it like that

in my state (missouri) we had a massive flood back in the 1990s that killed like ten people because a bunch of beavers dammed up a river delta and completely rerouted the water into a little ozark lowland. these guys are powerful
No beavers here. There's experiments to reintroduce them too.
Instead we ha a fuck load of these little shitters here. Basically have all the cons of the beavers without any of the pros, also they're ugly and look like sewer rats.
>>212089264 This. Since they have no natural predators here, theyre changing the course of all rivers and creating seamps everywhere lmao https://www.nationalgeographic.com/animals/article/beaver-overpopulation-tierra-del-fuego

>>212078568 He's building a dam to keep the niggers out
>>212065275 (OP) Yes. Sometimes their dam bursts and causes flooding in the northern regions. The federal government pays big money flying planes with sensors to detect where the beaver dams are and how they've changed since the last time. If there is a dam that's causing draught downstream or is too big and could potentially cause, they send people to break the beaver dams.
