I also think it hurts their cause by tying it together with American politics, specifically the trump train, a lot of people saying make Ireland great again and stuff, keeping your population from replacement shouldn't be a political thing, it makes it 'oh I'm right wing if I go to that rally' rather than 'regardless of my politics, I dont want to lose my countries identity and culture'. I can imagine a lot of grifters wanting to capitalise on any movement like that and it's a really bad look. If they want change they need normies to be on their side
