I know a few moldovans, my impression is they are divided in two.
One is more oriented towards speaking romanian and would consider reunification, the other is more russified.

It's a problem that's only a problem if you don't have the guts to deal with it. It's been in the news several times that the ukrainians offered the moldovans to clear them out, but the moldovan authorities refused.

I am an ethnic moldovan below 30, with all of my ancestors on both lines within records having lived here, and I can speak russian

All moldovan zoomers and younger know russian cursewords at least, and around a third can speak and understand the language
