Mostly a matter of priorities.
They care about doing well in those categories so they work hard and funnel resources into doing it.
What I don't understand is why so many of those top Norwegian athletes look so fucking weird. Markus Rooth and Erling Haaland in particular look like they suffer from down's syndrome.
Also, they all seem to have extremely unpleasant personalities, even compared to other Olympic athletes. Jakob Ingebrigtsen, Karsten Warholm, Magnus Carlsen; they're all dislikeable assholes.
