it was even so badly recieved in sweden many voluteered to fight here, often vets from the finn wars, some finns came too. grandpa fought with ca 10% volunteer swedes and another local unit was actually commanded by a swede vet and they had a bunch of poles in their lines as well.

It was not our war and if Germany hadn't invaded Norway then they would've stayed out of it as well.
Our war was to the east with the Soviets which is why we donated like half of our military to the Finns.
By the time Hitler and the allies started bum rushing Norway we barely had enough ammo and equipment for our own army any more.
Sweden would've an easy picking for the Wehrmacht and then Hitler would have full control of Sweden's resources.
Have you heard of the Bismarck and how it was sunk? The Allies don't like to talk about the part where Swedish intelligence gave them the information where the Bismarck was going so they could sink it.
Sweden played a delicate diplomacy in WW2 and the good we did to help our neighbours and the Allies far outmatch the iron ore we sold to Germany and remaining neutral.
