I have a sort of facial paralysis due to perinatal stroke that makes it impossible to smile - one side of my face would start twitching and drooping when trying to smile - so I'm perfectly fine with cultures where smiling isn't expected.
I hope to move there honestly, for a number of reasons, including that.
