I've seen Lithuania on google street view and I can admit it usually looks better than Poland, much cleaner, more coherent architecture corresponding with the surrounding landscape and generally you can see people there are either wealthier or just have a better taste in things

do average Japanese even know about it? to me it always seems like Japan is so culturally isolated from the rest of the world so they basically don't care about anything but themselves, especially about politics, to me it looks like Japan doesn't even have politics in the western sense of this word. They literally have one technocratic party that has been in power all the time since WW2 and they apparently don't need to debate politics at all, they simply believe that their government knows better how to rule the country than a simple man and they need to obey it, same like they obey their boss in their corporation
