I want to move to america, work as an engineer, get rich, marry a psycho christian woman, buy land and shoot people who trespass on my land with my sons.
I cant do any of that in Sweden which is why USA is the greatest country on earth.

Most big companies abuse h1b visas by giving them off to Indian contractors to hire workers en masse at half the cost of an American worker, so if you are serious try to apply to small or medium companies as they aren’t as rotted by Indian nepotism and corporate greed.

I work as an engineer in a low-med cost of living Midwest city and I make $110k with good benefits two years in so it’s not so bad.

No wife yet for me but it would probably be easier for you as you have a Swedish accent.

If he is working as an engineer he will have plenty of benefits, including health insurance. The exact costs depend on the company, but for mine it is about $100 per month and the most out of pocket you can spend in a year is $5k, after that insurance covers everything. I had an injury in my hand (not work related) last year that required reconstructive surgery. I went into a hospital urgent care on a Monday, doctor checked it out, ordered an MRI for the next day, I got the MRI and off that he recommended surgery asap. A couple days later I get the surgery where they take parts of my arm and use it in my hand. After that just rest and physical therapy for 10 weeks and it was mostly back to original function. Even with all that I never even reached the $5k mark
