I don't even think it should be legal for phones to have cameras, it's a violation of privacy because you don't know for sure if someone is photographing you or not.

The only use I have for a "phone" in that sense is for on-the-road emergencies, and photos. We'll see the 2nd coming before phones and such are dependable for transactions as wallets stuffed with cash and a few bankcards are.

yes, there is not need anymore. I can wire money in a second from my bank app or using nfc through samsung/apple/google pay
fuck the last I withdrew paper cash was before the 'rona. if you're ever stopped by the police you can go to the government app and generate a qr for the cop to scan instead of giving him your physical license

You can use tap to pay at like 90% of places now. And I can always keep a physical card inside the case for the few places that don’t.
And literally everywhere takes cards. Even farmers market and school cake sales and and shit.
I haven’t used cash since I stopped buying drugs 2 years ago.

Nobody uses cash in Sweden.
I have my debit card in my phone case but I almost never use it.
ID is also on my phone.

Only 2% of all purchases are made with cash today.

Don't work here no more. 2G and 3G networks are dismantled and gone.
There's a few dumbphones with 4G capabilities on the market here but nobody is paying 150-200 euro for a plastic piece of crap when you can get a smartphone for that.
